We took this Living Room and rearranged with items
she had in her house already ---
So fun to see what can be done in a couple of hours!
(Notice the touches of red, it really adds life to the space.)
BEFORE
AFTER
We took out the big chair and one of the end tables.
The room really needed something interesting to look at,
so we found the bookcase upstairs and filled it with some nice accessories.
It became a great focal point.

We moved the tree to the other side of the couch,
it softens the window and is not so cramped.
We also added a touch of red and green to the table,
tying those colors around the room.
We placed the rug on an angle, and added
some green pillows.
Then found another plant to balance out the side of the room with the bookcase.
Amazing what you can accomplish with out spending any money!

Great transformations. It is amazing what you can do with a fresh eye and just shopping the house looking for different and interesting accessories. Love the changes, beautiful room. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThat looks nice! I like the rug placed at an angle! Love that big mirror!

That looks nice. It's nice to have a room you can re-arrange.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will come over and check out this weeks Knock off and I bet you have some things you could post to the KNOCK OFF KNOCK OUT Party.

Its So Very Cheri
that looks really nice!
ReplyDeleteTweaking always helps! Red adds spirit. I love "shopping the house" and moving and rearranging.

I can see I'll have to spend some serious time on your blog...there is so much to see! I'm constantly moving this, relocating that, to get the best balance...people always come in to my home, and jokingly open their eyes real wide and ask, "what have you done different this week"? Have a great week! Mary
ReplyDeleteGreat job particularly the angle, moving the tree, and losing the chair. It takes talent. Our friend Gordon can but I just cant "see" the after.
ReplyDeleteThe room looks a lot better. Amazing for two hours of work.

There was a LOT of furniture in the living room before the transformation!! It looks much better now -- very warm and cozy, and not cramped. I really like the area rug on the angle, and the hits of red are great. And the bookcase is nicely accessorized :-)

Great redo!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best kind of redo - just being creative and shopping your own home. The after is so much nicer. Good job.
